Just two everyday gals... I thought it would be fun to do a character sheet in between chapters.

The playlists were inspired by that one meme that was going around. You know the one.

I actually love how your ladies are not the average standard of beauty at all. They’re both gorgeous but highly recognizable and it plays into your story very well!

Can’t wait to start on Chapter 2 with you!!

Thank you! Including a variety of faces and body types was something I set out to do from the beginning of this comic, it's really important to me. People are so varied!

A+ designs, they've got such personality in them already and the little blurbs are wonderful additions! I love the playlists too omg

Thank you :D
I got my internet art start on deviantart making OC's, and I still kind of consider myself a character designer first, it's a really fun subject for me. All of the main cast were designed to contrast with each other, so once I figured out one character, I gave the rest of them complimenting features as I was working on them.

I can feel the care that went into them! They're so clearly their own people and the gals still harmonise so well, I love when designs mesh together like that |>

There is something so dream-like about your comic. In the colors, the designs, even in the writing so far. It's unique and lovely to see, and your characters are interesting to look at and at the same time, they're easy to understand, they have fun quirks too. Which is peak character-design mastery in my opinion : being able to tell what the people you draw are about. Also, I don't know, there is just that strange cozyness to it all and I'm intrigued by that feud between the witches.

Also, I think the part where Joy talks about the tokens, the trees and the radio show was a very good example of exposition done right. Joy is shown to be very passionate about that history (and having a friend who majored in history and never misses an occasion to share interesting trivias, it's very reminiscing of this and it is endearing) and these trees have incredible properties to boot (lava-proof, vanilla-scented). It feels like a real conversation.

I'm looking forward to see where this story is gonna go from this point on ! So far, I like the characters, love the art style, I'm hooked by this first chapter !

Hey, thank you so much for this? This is such an incredibly nice comment, it's making me so happy to know you're enjoying what I drew, and that you took the time to write this out.
I'm especially glad that the exposition is working for you, I was hoping to capture the feeling of hearing somebody talk about their favorite subject, but I was worried about taking it a little to far. Hearing somebody talk a lot about something they love is something I really enjoy in real life.
You made my day, I hope you keep enjoying <3
